Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez (born Sara Ramirez) is an Mexican American singer-songwriter and popular actress. Sara Ramirez was raised by an American mother, and was subjected to a variety of racist taunts and led her to feel unwelcome. She began to gain confidence at the age of nineteen when she entered a school audition and was highly praised for her singing. Not only did it boost her confidence but her dreams transformed. When she was 22 she was a graduate of the New York's Julliard School. When she was 23, she began her career making her first appearance on Broadway with Paul Simon's The Capeman and in films featuring You've Got Mail. Her biggest breakthrough was when she starred in the part in the role of The Lady of The Lake in the first Broadway performance of Spamalot winning not just her the Tony Award for her performance but also a flurry of praise from critics. Later in the same year she appeared on the ABC series Grey's Anatomy as Dr. Callie Torres and gained wider acceptance for the role. She is known as a performer and released her own single and an extended play. She also works as a LGBT activist.
